All users can access their leave details through the ‘My Leave’ page in the Self Service Portal (SSP). CiviHR Staff users are only able to apply for time off for themselves and do not have access to other staff member’s leave requests.
Admin users can submit personal leave requests through the SSP. They can also create leave requests for others, such as recording sickness. From the admin portal, go to Leave -> Leave Requests -> Record New Absence. From here, select the relevant absence type (Leave or Sickness). In the search bar, enter the name of the staff member the leave request relates to. Complete the relevant fields that appear in the pop up window.
Leave Request Status
Set the status of the request:
- Approved: request is approved and stored against the contact record.
- More Information Required: request is not ready to be approved and is kept open for more action. A notification is sent to the staff member with a call to action.
Click the comments tab to start a conversation with the staff member and add details if more information is required. The files tab lets you upload pdfs such as a copy of a doctor's note to the request.
Click save to submit.
